Sunday School Classes at Community Bible Church

Sunday school is an integral ministry of Community Bible Church. It provides an important time for spiritual training, discussion, and interaction. Classes are offered for all people from pre-school age through adults. A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers during the Sunday school period.

Youth Classes

We are committed to the spiritual development of all young people who take part in the activities of Community Bible Church. Because of this commitment, our church has developed a special Sunday school curriculum. The intent of this curriculum is to provide continuity and completeness in the Biblical training of our youth. The curriculum focuses on the truths found in God’s word, as well as the practical application of those truths.

For each grade level from kindergarten through grade 5, weekly lessons have been developed to systematically teach through the Bible. Essential truths about God and our relationship with Him are taught and reinforced.

Middle school and high school classes study specially selected topics on a quarterly basis. These topics are designed to provide youth with a balanced, well-rounded exposure to God’s truth and how it relates to their everyday lives.

As young people progress through the different class levels, they will receive a strong, positive, spiritual foundation to help guide them throughout their entire lives.

Adult Classes

Adult Sunday schoolAdult Sunday school classes provide an opportunity for learning and interaction focused on Biblical issues and truths.

Each quarter several different classes are offered. Adults can select whichever class they prefer to attend. Topics will also vary.

Classes are designed to encourage Christians in their spiritual walk. As we study and discuss God’s word together, our goal is to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Classes also provide an avenue for fellowship and developing closer relationships with others in the church. As these relationships are strengthened, we will be better equipped to serve Christ and to serve one another.

Topic: “One Thousand Gifts " (Video and Study Guide by Ann Voskamp)
Leader: Donneta Felbush
Location: Room 203 (Upstairs NE Corner)

Ann Voskamp, a farmer's wife and mother of 6 children, invites us to join her on her journey to live Eucharisteo, the Biblical Greek word that means to give thanks.  It addresses the fight for joy in spite of everyday challenges and to stay awake to the wild and beautiful life God has given us.  Will you take the journey towards fullness of joy with us?  Begin to find joy in what really Who really matters.  Begin counting all the ways He loves us, for this is how you learn to live your one life well...receiving each and every moment as holy, ordinary, amazing grace.

Topic: "Putting on the Full Armor of God"
Leader: Lindsey Brummer
Location: Basement Fellowship Hall

In Ephesians 6, the Apostle Paul exhorts us to "Put on the full armor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil."  Just as a Roman soldier needed to put on all of his essential physical armor before going into battle, we as believers in Christ are in a spiritual battle which must be fought with spiritual armor.  Join us as we study and discuss the nature and significance of each of the individual pieces of "armor" which Paul identifies.  These pieces of armor are all essential if we desire to live faithfully in a world that is increasingly opposed to Jesus Christ.

Even if you have not participated in Sunday School in the past,

this would be a great time to become involved.

We are excited to offer Sunday School classes for children and youth from three years of age through high school.  Children from three years of age through fifth grade begin by meeting together downstairs in room 102. From there they will accompany their teachers to their individual classrooms.   Middle school youth will meet upstairs in room 202 and High school youth meet in room 204.  Hope your family can join our classes this winter.
