Sunday School Classes at Community Bible Church

Sunday school is an integral ministry of Community Bible Church. It provides an important time for spiritual training, discussion, and interaction. Classes are offered for all people from pre-school age through adults. A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers during the Sunday school period.

Youth Classes

We are committed to the spiritual development of all young people who take part in the activities of Community Bible Church. Because of this commitment, our church has developed a special Sunday school curriculum. The intent of this curriculum is to provide continuity and completeness in the Biblical training of our youth. The curriculum focuses on the truths found in God’s word, as well as the practical application of those truths.

For each grade level from kindergarten through grade 5, weekly lessons have been developed to systematically teach through the Bible. Essential truths about God and our relationship with Him are taught and reinforced.

Middle school and high school classes study specially selected topics on a quarterly basis. These topics are designed to provide youth with a balanced, well-rounded exposure to God’s truth and how it relates to their everyday lives.

As young people progress through the different class levels, they will receive a strong, positive, spiritual foundation to help guide them throughout their entire lives.

Adult Classes

Adult Sunday schoolAdult Sunday school classes provide an opportunity for learning and interaction focused on Biblical issues and truths.

Each quarter several different classes are offered. Adults can select whichever class they prefer to attend. Topics will also vary.

Classes are designed to encourage Christians in their spiritual walk. As we study and discuss God’s word together, our goal is to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Classes also provide an avenue for fellowship and developing closer relationships with others in the church. As these relationships are strengthened, we will be better equipped to serve Christ and to serve one another.

Topic: “Discerning the Voice of God" (Video by Priscilla Shirer and Discussion)
Leader: Donneta Felbush
Location: Room 203

Do you ever have a hard time knowing what God is saying versus what others are saying? Through video presentations by Priscilla Shirer and group discussion, this study is designed to help participants know the voice of God: His language, character, and the tone of His voice. By growing closer to God through His Word, participants will be able to discern God's voice from the voice of strangers. All women are encouraged to take part in this interactive study.

Topic: Christ's "Farewell Address" (John 13-17)
Leader: Lindsey Brummer
Location: Basement Fellowship Hall

The night before His crucifixion, Jesus spent time with His disciples in the Upper Room. Knowing that His words would be the final teaching He would give the disciples before His crucifixion, He chose carefully the truths He desired to share. In His "Upper Room Discourse," Christ's words to His disciples also provide each of us with valuable insights as we seek to live our lives as Christians. Join us for a time of teaching and discussion as we consider the "farewell address" of Jesus.

Even if you have not participated in Sunday School in the past,

this would be a great time to become involved.

We are excited to offer Sunday School classes for children and youth from three years of age through high school. Children from three year through those in fifth grade begin by meeting downstairs in room 102. They enjoy an opening  time together and then accompany their teachers to separate classes. The classes conclude in their individual classrooms. Middle schoolers will meet in room 202 and High schoolers meet in the church Library. Hope your family can join our classes this fall.
